Eleven Complaints by Kastadyne
When will Indian rock music be truly original and enjoyable at the same time? Welcome. It's already happening!
Add an exciting, today's rock band to your collection!
The critically acclaimed Eleven Complaints CD has justly been praised for its songwriting and musicality. (See the 'Reviews' tab on the left).
You haven't heard songs like this before, because there haven't been any like them! (Check the 'Eleven Complaints' tab on the left to listen to 128-bit mp3 samples from the album).
As Sheldon says, "I think Kastadyne is a genre. Not a band."
What was the basic concept behind Eleven Complaints?
TJ answers, "Simple. None! Every song is different. We polished every single idea we had in the 3 year period it took us to make it."
The result is the Kastadyne sound. TJ again: "Many good bands in India today sound very alike. Just like people recognise you on the street when they see your face, one should recognise a band when they hear their sound. It's what keeps that band alive."
Where else could you have heard the world beating #1 hit "Victim of my anger" that reached the top spot among 113,000 songs worldwide on internet charts? Written and performed by two 15-year olds from India? (That's what the Kastadyne boys were when they wrote that song!)
If this is not talent, then what is?
Who else but Kastadyne could have given you a whimsical "Chickenator" or a politically charged "All the power"? This is true Indian rock music talent at its best. Unheard before.
Eleven original, enjoyable songs that deserve to be in your collection. For lyrics that will leave an impression on you. It's music of the kind you honestly haven't heard before. Definitely not from the Indian rock scene.
It's about a couple of talent-oozing 19 year olds from Mumabai suburbs writing kick-ass original music. Lyrically and musically.
No unbiased lover of rock music should be without Eleven Complaints in their collection.
BUY ELEVEN COMPLAINTS CD
Eleven Complaints is obviously all about music and talent. Yet, it is also about production quality.
Something you don't honestly expect from too many Indian rock bands.
Eleven Complaints is NOT a bunch of truncated mp3s. But a full fledged, rich sounding CD-quality set of mixes recorded and mixed professionally in a Pro Tools environment. Enjoyable now and years later.
No effort has been spared to make it as 'deliciously loud' and sparkling as the CD's of today's top ranking artists. Because we wanted it to sit proudly among your collection. Without apologies. Don't even reach for the volume knob. The music comes at you with a full punch.
The album was mastered by XARC Mastering, Germany. XARC Mastering is known for quality work for currently hot indie albums produced throughout the world. So the Euro may be expensive, but the sonic results are totally well worth it. It's all about quality.
The back cover of Eleven Complaints album by Kastadyne
If you have a passing interest in pop art even, the Eleven Complaints artwork should hold you spellbound. The back-cover and inside-cover art is drawn by none other than Sheldon. And the cover design on the other hand is by TJ.
You can't get away from this talented duo.
The cost of the album?
For all its talent, originality and production values, Eleven Complaints is priced quite affordably.
How much will you be prepared to pay to own the fresh music of a new and original band?
For insightful and thoughtful lyrics?
How much for an album about to write its own history in rock music?
Maybe Rs.300 to Rs.400, would you say? Isn't that worthwhile and reasonable? For both enjoying and supporting a rock band that comes up with novel songs to entertain you?
Call us mad. Eleven Complaints is priced at only Rs.150 (for a full-production CD as mentioned earlier, not mp3s, and inclusive of Sheldon's and TJ's superb artwork).
An mp3 collection cannot match the feel of a full-production, physical CD complete with the artwork. All the band's joy in getting details right is there on a full-production CD for your pleasure. Own the real thing.

The judge Dr.Palash Sen (of the band Euphoria) said, "Kastadyne's song won by a mile. It's all about song-writing. Regards and respect."
Don't worry, it's not a syrupy 'mera desh mahaan' type thing. It's a full bodied ROCK song with some seriously beautiful lyrics. Check Raise your hand here (opens new window). This will be yours in an even better version - a superior 320-bit mp3 regarded as excellent quality for internet downloads.
The SECOND FREE BONUS SONG is Forget the Government (Live as India). A similar I-Day song by Kastadyne commissioned for and performed on Radio Mirchi FM on Independence Day 2007.
According to Kastadyne enthusiast Santosh Lobo, "Every patriotic headbanger out there should have this song." A lot of them already have it - but YOU will again receive a superior 320-bit stereo mp3 version that they don't. All yours for free with Eleven Complaints.
Go listen - if you haven't already - to Raise your hand and Forget the Government (Live as India) (opens in new window). Tell us, hand to heart, if you've heard stuff like this from any Indian rock band before.
And the THIRD FREE BONUS SONG is even better! This is a surprise song from Kastadyne's second album which is under production right now. You will own a fully produced, 320bit stereo mp3 of this 'surprise song' for free. A sneak preview of where the Kastadyne sound is heading in future.
