As part of Kastadyne's eventful Shillong trip a few months ago. the band was interviewed by RJ Joe Lanong of Oohlala FM. They played live their recent composition "Flamboyant citizen" - the acoustic version. Returning to Mumbai, the band completed the studio version of that song for their second album - when Joe called in with a request. Can Kastadyne do an original song for Christmas for airplay on Oohlala FM? Of course.
All alone this Christmas is a song for Joe and the lovely, cool people of Shillong. Enjoy!

RJ Jeeturaj of Radio Mirchi asked us to compose a special song for Independence Day
After the band's interview at Radio Mirchi, popular RJ Jeeturaj asked us to compose a special song for Independence Day 2007. Kastadyne came up with the popular Forget the Government (Live as India). It was first played on Radio Mirchi and since then is a free and frequent download from our website.

An on-the-spot composition for Radio City and RJ Archana
An hour before the band's live interview with RJ Archana of Radio City, we came up with an instant composition for the occasion. The acoustic guitar-vocal song is obviously an 'unpolished' non-studio version with none of the usual multi-track lushness of a Kastadyne song; yet it sounds cool, we think :)

What did Kastadyne in its early days sound like? Check out a couple of songs from our school days when it all started - Insane and Nightmare. We think they are quite listenable even today.
After the launch of the album, an upcoming online French gaming company called Kreeda commisssioned us to do a sound track for their dance-based game "Dance Mela".
We made the song I miss yesterday with dance-rock in mind. Naturally, we had no clue where to begin! But the gamers' forums at Kreeda have received the song very well. They love it - thankfully.
According to TJ, "They wanted it to be a 'dance' thing obviously, not hard rock. Yet, they wanted the Kastadyne sound."
